Task
Your Wedding Cake Store had just renamed the company, moved its store, and
changed its product line. The company had been in business for 9 years and
was wanting to maintain the same level of sales it had been accustomed to
while dropping product lines such as all occasion cakes, catering, and
wholesale baking. The company changed its name because it had a large
customer base that was accustomed to buying a variety of products. The new
name would focus the company on the one product the company was keeping.
That would be of course wedding cakes.

 

 

Native Graphix and JustMy devised a strategy that included an updated logo,
store decor, and complete image makeover including everything from business
cards to invoices. The image makeover began with the logo and a color
scheme. Once this was in place, the store was designed to match the new
look. A cake gallery was designed for the web and the store. All the
products the company sold would be on the website. Inside the store,
catalogs were created with all the products in them as well. The in store
gallery was designed so that up to four brides could come in at one time for
appointments. On these appointments, brides could sample the cakes and meet
with the companies staff to customize the cake of their dreams.

 

The company's website was designed so that the brides could find help on
planning every part of their wedding. The in store gallery also features
information on other local wedding professionals. The point of this effort
was to establish the company as the cake store of choice for brides and a
center of wedding activity.

 

Native Graphix and JustMy also place ads for the company in local wedding
magazines and took the company to local wedding shows. Native Graphix and
JustMy designs all promotional and marketing materials for Your Wedding Cake
Store.

 

 

Results
Your Wedding Cake Store became the number one seller of wedding cakes in the
Memphis market and maintained the same level of sales despite dropping
several product. The re-branding of the company is a constant source of
compliments to the store. Many people believe the store is a franchise
because of the branding efforts.
